Steve Killick is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist working in the NHS and independently. He works primarily with young people and families and has trained extensively in family, cognitive-behavioural and creative therapies. He is a BABCP accredited CBT practitioner and leads the S.Wales Clinical Network Training in CBT for children and families. His professional and research interests include emotional literacy, positive psychology and mindfulness. He is also interested in using storytelling and narrative approaches in therapy and education and has written on a number of innovative approaches in therapy.
He has experience of working in both residential and community settings and working with foster carers and looked after children. He is a Honorary Senior Tutor for the School of Psychology at Cardiff University. Steve has also produced, directed and written a number of films on mental health and child development including 'Giving Sorrow Words' and 'Start Talking'.
